MeerKatta processes all video, audio, and text locally on your device. Your privacy is fundamental to how we build.

What we collect

• Email address (if you join the waitlist or purchase)
• Anonymous usage analytics (optional, can be disabled in settings)
• Crash reports (optional, can be disabled in settings)

What we don't collect

• Your recordings, transcripts, or dictated text
• Your Claude API credentials or conversation history
• Screen content or camera footage
• Contacts, browsing history, or location data

Third-party services

• Claude (Anthropic) — AI processing runs through your own subscription. MeerKatta does not have access to your Claude account.
• Payment processor — Handles purchase transactions only. We do not store payment information.

Data storage

All recordings, transcripts, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. MeerKatta does not have a cloud backend for user content.

Analytics

If you opt in, we collect anonymous usage data (feature usage frequency, crash reports) to improve MeerKatta. This data cannot be tied to your identity or content. You can disable this entirely in Settings.
