The second half of capture is coming back.
A five-minute review that gives saved thoughts somewhere to go.
It is satisfying to catch an idea before it disappears. The lasting value comes when you can use it again. A Library is most helpful when it is part of a small return practice.
Pick a cue you already have.
Link your review to an existing transition rather than adding a new obligation: before opening your task list, after your last meeting, or when you sit down with tomorrow’s plan. Start with one thought, not your entire history.
Ask what this thought needs now.
- Use it: turn it into a message, outline, or next action.
- Connect it: bring it into a project or question you are exploring.
- Keep it: add a little context that will make it easier to recognize later.
- Let it go: some thoughts did their job when you spoke them.
Make the next capture more useful.
If yesterday’s note is hard to understand, notice what is missing. Was it the person, the reason, or the connection? Add that context the next time you capture. This is a practice you can adjust from your own experience.
Tell us where the loop breaks.
MeerKatta’s direction is to help a thought survive from its first appearance to something you can use. If capture is easy but returning is not, that matters. Tell us the situation and the step that got in your way; you do not need to share the thought itself.
