A first thought, not a perfect setup

Make room for what’s on your mind.

Start with one real thought. Speak it, review the result, and keep something you can return to. Personalization can come after that first useful moment.

Welcome to MeerKatta.

Your MeerKatta license is being prepared.

If you bought from a signed-in MeerKatta app, your license should appear under your account. If it does not appear after a minute, open Permissions & About and click Refresh license. If it still does not appear, check your email and enter the license key manually, or contact hello@meerkatta.com.

Start small

Your first capture, step by step.

On iPhone

  1. Open MeerKatta and allow microphone access when asked.
  2. Begin a capture and speak one thought you genuinely want to keep.
  3. Stop, review the text for meaning, then save it.

Once this feels familiar, add quick access from your Lock Screen. Start in the app first so permissions and setup are out of the way.

On Mac

  1. Open MeerKatta and follow its permission prompts.
  2. Try a capture inside MeerKatta before using another app.
  3. For a reply or prompt, focus the destination text field and use your configured shortcut. Review the result before sending.

Your first draft can be rough. Keep the intent; edit the phrasing afterward.

Return to one thought

Choose a cue you already have: arriving at your desk, finishing a walk, or beginning tomorrow’s work.

Open your Library, choose one saved thought, and turn it into a next step. That return is what makes capture useful.

My first capture didn’t work

Check microphone permission, try again inside the app, and check your connection and selected processing option. If you are stuck, tell support your device and what happened. You do not need to send private note content.

First useful setup

Make the tool easier to reach than the thought is to lose.

01

Put quick capture where your thumb already goes

Add MeerKatta to your iPhone Lock Screen or quick access area. The goal is not to remember a workflow. The goal is to tap before the thought has time to slide away.

02

Teach MeerKatta your words and your voice

Add names and shorthand it should recognize, describe how you like to write, and choose which filler patterns to remove or keep. The goal is clearer text that still sounds like you.

03

Use the right mode for the moment

Use quick injection when the destination is obvious: a text field, Codex prompt, email, or note.

Use capture mode when the thought arrives before you know where it belongs.

Capture habit

What to try in the first day.

Start by using MeerKatta wherever you would normally type. The first habit is simple: speak the thought at the moment it appears, then let the clearer text help you write more often, with less interruption.

Capture Sparks

Catch the thought before it turns into effort.

  1. 01Open capture from quick access when a small idea, reminder, or life update appears.
  2. 02Speak naturally before deciding where the note belongs.
  3. 03Keep the cleaned note as something you can revisit, share, or build from.

Start and Stay in the Flow

Use voice anywhere you need to type.

  1. 01Focus a text field: Codex prompt, email, chat, document, or note.
  2. 02Say the intent, including starts, pauses, and self-corrections.
  3. 03Let MeerKatta shape the first draft so writing starts from motion, not friction.
